State Sen. Zurier's holiday message
PROVIDENCE — State Sen. Samuel D. Zurier wishes readers of Jewish Rhode Island a shanah tovah, adding, "May it be a good year, a year of peace."
The message from the senator, who represents Providence's District 3 in the Statehouse, should appear on Page 33 of the September issue of JRI. Unfortunately, due to a technical error, the file from his Passover greeting earlier this year was published instead.
"We regret the mistake on our part," Jewish Rhode Island editor Daniel Margolis said. "We appreciate the senator's support and his well-wishes for 5787."
Zurier previously served on the city council, elected from Ward 2 in 2010. He has been on the board of Jewish Family Services, the Jewish Federation of Rhode Island and Temple Beth El.
