Seth E. Kahn, 93

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Seth E. Kahn died July 20 at home. He was the husband of Harriet (Friedman) Kahn for 30 years before her passing and Sylvia (Goldstein-Hildebrandt) for 30 years before her passing. He was born in New York City, N.Y., the son of the late Herman and Frances (Gutman) Kahn.

A graduate of Townsend-Harris High School and the Baruch School at the City College of N.Y. before entering the Army and serving in WWII where he was honored to have saluted Gen. George Patton. Another fond memory was when Babe Ruth used his pen to sign autographs at Yankee Stadium. Seth was a sole practitioner CPA in NYC before retiring at age 80 in 2001. 

He was an avid bridge, pinochle and tennis player.

He is survived by his children; Lawrence Kahn and his wife Diana of Newport, R.I. and Robert Kahn and his wife Gayle of Charlottesville, Va.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
