David Brandt, 84

CRANSTON, R.I – David Brandt died Jan. 25  at Rhode Island Hospital.  He was the beloved husband of Shirley (Wilk) Brandt of Cranston for 54 years.  Born in Breslau, Germany, son of the late Max and Julia (Elsner) Brandt.

He lived in Cranston for 54 years. He was former owner of Beau James Restaurant and in the restaurant business for 40 years.  He was a Korean Conflict Army veteran, avid golfer and member of Touro Fraternal Association, Temple Sinai, Cranston Country Club, Commander of Jewish War Veterans Post 406 Reback-Winston and past President of R.I. Jewish Fraternal Association.

Devoted father of Richard, Maxine and Karen Brandt. Dear brother of Lilly Flatow and the late Nelly Fine and Heinz Brandt and loving grandfather of Rachel, Jordan, and Benjamin.
