Dorothy Namerow, 92

CHANDLER, ARIZ. – Dorothy (Newman) Namerow, of Chandler and Cranston, passed away on June 15, 2022, in Arizona with her daughter by her side. She was the wife of the late Ernest Namerow. 

Born in Newport, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Ida (Friedman) Newman, she had lived in Cranston for many years before moving to Arizona 10 years ago. 

Mrs. Namerow was a teacher and guidance counselor for the Cranston School Department for many years before retiring and was a member of Temple Beth Torah in Cranston for many years. 

Survivors include: two children, Lawrence R. Namerow of Riverside and Leslie D. Namerow of Chandler; two grandchildren, Jessica Clar and Craig Namerow; and two great-grandchildren, Shane and Carter. She was the mother of the late Maxine Weiss.
