Security training available in time for High Holy Days

Posted

Help your organization prepare for the High Holy Days at a security training led by Napoleon “Nappy” Brito, manager of community security at the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island.

The training will take place Sept. 20 from 6:30-8 p.m. in person at the Dwares Jewish Community Center in Providence. It’s free and open to the community.

Brito recently joined the Alliance and brings over 44 years of experience in security and law enforcement to the job. He said the training is aimed at increasing building security and safety during the upcoming holidays. For example, he will discuss what the greeters and ushers in synagogues should look for and “how to speak to people they have never met during the high holidays.”

This training is sponsored in part by the Community Relations Council and the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island.
